Eat. Watch. Read. Sleep.

I've had a great weekend... and it's not even over yet!

On Saturday, we went to roller derby with Jenny and her husband.  She brought me one of her adorable bracelets that she makes for her Etsy shop that I've had my eye on.  Then afterward we went to Denny's for dinner and we sat there chatting until about 12:30am.  It was a great time.

Before roller derby though, we went to Target so I could look for a reading pillow that I found online.  Luckily I was able to find it.  It's so amazing.

On Sunday, I was able to convince Hubs to go with me to Bookmans.  My dad gave me $54 worth of store credit so I wanted to see if there was anything I wanted.  I didn't find a book, but I did find this adorable onesie that I've had my eye on for awhile.

Year of Hope purchase.

As for the rest of the weekend, I've been a lazy bum.  I've been in bed trying to catch up on Bones.  I'm on the current season and will hopefully be caught up by tomorrow.  Then I need to figure out what I'm going to watch next.  I have Greek on my queue.  But what do you recommend?

Watching all this TV is really hindering my reading, though.  It's really setting me back from reaching my goal for the year.  Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I took a break from watching so much on Netflix so I can get back to reading.

I don't have work tomorrow as it is Presidents Day.  So that means more lounging around in bed watching Bones and reading Odd Thomas while using my new red reading pillow.

How's your weekend been so far?  Do you get tomorrow off for Presidents Day?

Wordless Wednesday: ANTM Edition

I'm looking forward to ANTM tonight. ;)

Awful...ly Bad TV Tuesday

The Bachelor Pad is my main focus today.

My "favorite" participants:

Elizabeth: The Tramp.  (Who am I kidding?  They're probably all tramps.)
The girl who was cheating on Jake with a producer while she was on the show.  And now she's in love Kovacs who's another world class douchebag.

Craig: The Douchebag.

I think he might be the biggest one in the entire world.  He seems like he could be a nice guy.  Just drop the douchebag façade, Craig!

Jonathan: The Weatherman.

I love that he doesn't get his own name.  He's just "Weatherman".  No woman there is going to want to hook up with him.  Unless of course they're crazy drunk, which could very well happen.

Michelle: The Bat-Shit-Crazy.

Do remember her from the Jake season?  She's bat shit crazy!  Man I'm happy she was voted off the show last night.  Poor Tenley getting locked in the bathroom with her.  As I told Hubs, I would have kicked Michelle's ass if she locked me in the bathroom with her.

Did you watch Bachelor Pad last night?  Who are your "favorites"?

Day 3 - Your Favorite TV Show

How can you not love this show?

I've been obsessed with is ever since it came out.  I've never missed an episode.

Holy Sweet Margarita [Weekend Update]

  • Friday we went to my "cousin-in-laws" graduation.  He goes to a Christian school and I wasn't raised religious at all, so I was pretty much bored out of my mind.  This Chaplain spoke for about 45 minutes and I didn't think it was going to end, but it finally did.  CIL's graduating class was 16 people, no where near the size of my graduating class.
  • After the graduation, we went to wedding reception for my MIL's friend.  There was an open bar, which is always good news.  Or potentially bad news.  Hubs had way too much, so I ended up having to drive home.  So I had to stop drinking halfway through my fourth margarita.  At the reception we saw my MIL get really drunk and she danced for like four hours.  Really awkward!

  • The Hubs and I finished watching the third season The IT Crowd on Netflix.  That show is so dumb you can't help but laugh.  It's a British comedy with a random Irish man.  Love it!

  • On Sunday, Hubs parents invited us out to dinner at Top Shelf.  I got to meet one of Hubs uncles and aunts for the first time.  His uncle looks a lot like Stone Cold Steve Austin, except his uncle is like a foot taller.  Top Shelf has amazing margaritas.  Strawberry blended margarita for me please!
  • Hubs bought Red Dead Redemtion earlier this week.  Over the weekend I watched him play it quite a bit and I even gave it a try.  It's quite fun, but I suck at navigating on the Xbox remotes.
How was your weekend? What did you do?

TV Tuesday

Life Unexpected; 1) Baze, what in the hell were you thinking telling Kate that you don't love her?!  And then being to late to finally say it! 2) Lux, why did you say those things to Kate?  Baze would totally change for Kate!

I'm a big supporter of Baze and Kate being together.  They're adorable together.  And honestly, I don't really like Ryan.  He was alright in the beginning, but now I'm over him.

Was that the season finale?  Is it coming back for anothing season?  I really hope so!  I'm not sure what they're going to do, but I want another season!

Army Wives; In the recap at the beginning of the episode it reminded me that Roxy is pregnant.  Great!  That's something that I don't look forward to this season.  I'm excited for them, of course.

1) I really hope Pamela and Chase work things out.  2) I feel awful for Denise and Major Sherwood.  I really hope their son gets better.  3) OMG!  Joan getting hurt and not giving Roland all the details.  That poor man, he must be so upset.

Glee; I really don't care what anyone says; I adore this show.  It makes me smile.  It hasn't aired yet in Arizona.  I only have an hour left, but I honestly can't wait!

Friday Night Lights; Hello my sweet baby.  You have finally come back into my life on May 7th and I couldn't be more excited.  Please tell me someone shares the same love of this small Texas town as I do.

Are Matt and Julie still going to be together?  What's going to happen with Tim Riggins?  Oh... Tim Riggins, how I've missed you.

Yeah, I'm excited.  What are your favorite television shows?!

Big Boned / Weekend

I finished reading Big Boned by Meg Cabot today on my walk home from the bus stop. It was SO good. I absolutely adored that Cabot had Heather and Conner end up together in the end. It was very adorable the way she finally brought them together. I wish there were more books in this series. I plan on reading more by Meg Cabot though. In fact, the next book I'm going to read is Pants On Fire by Meg Cabot. I don't know what it's about, but I'm excited to read it nonetheless.

It's Friday and I couldn't be more happy. This week seemed to drag on forever. Tomorrow Rob and I are going to the shooting range with my parents and possibly Rob's friend Tim. We might even go out to breakfast with them in the morning, depending on when my dad wakes up, apparently. Other than that, we really don't have any plans for the weekend. I know I have a few things on my to do list. I need to paint the end tables for our living room and the paper towel holder that Rob's Gramma gave to us awhile ago. I should mop the kitchen, but that really doesn't sound like a fun time. And there are plenty of things that I need to do around the house.

I can't believe how many shows I'm watching now since a bunch just came back and since a bunch of new ones just started. Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, The Vampire Diares, The Biggest Loser, Americas Next Top Model, LA Ink, Eastwick, The Office, Heroes, Modern Family, Cougar Town, Flash Forward, One Tree Hill, Dexter, Californication... That's way past pathetic. I should really cut back, but I'm dedicated to all of them.

Whitney just informed me that there are books that The Vampire Diaries is based on. That means that I'm going to have to read them now. That's not a good thing, because that means that I'm going to spend money on books. There are so many books I want its ridiculous. But I'm trying to make do with what I have.

Have an amazing weekend! I'll try to get another post in sometime this weekend. Maybe I can take some pictures when we go shooting this weekend. I don't know if they allow you to in the indoor range. I've never been before.

The Biggest Loser

Last night was the season premier of The Biggest Loser - Season 8. Every season this show just gets to me. I always cry! I'm a bit of a cry-er already, but when you add all the sad stories to the mix it just makes it even worse. This season there is a lady that lost her husband, 5 year old daughter and 2 week old son in a car accident. How could that not make you cry?! There is also this other lady that is the heaviest person to ever be on the show. She weighs in at 476 pounds. I just don't understand how someone can get that large. I feel bad, but it's their fault.

This show always makes me want to get out and do something. I think Rob and I have finally turned over a new leaf. We want to start making healthy decisions. We also want to start being more responsible for our actions. It's finally time for us to grow up. Not all the way, but enough. :) I really hope we stick to our word. I want to be happy, healthy and financially stable.
