Day 21 - A Recipe

This is my Grandma's recipe for tuna noodle casserole.  Nothing fancy, but I love that it's my Grandma's.  And its simple, just like me.

Tuna Noodle Casserole

Ingredients:

tuna noodle casserole (1)

  • 1 - 12 oz. package of noodles
  • 2 - 10.5 cans of cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 - 5-6 oz. cans of tuna
  • 1 - 15 oz. can of peas (you can use a smaller can)
  • lots of shredded cheese, whatever kind you like
  • French's French Fried Onions or crushed up Lay's Potato Chips
  • Nature's Seasoning or whatever your prefer
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°.
  2. Cook the noodles as directed on the package.  Whatever kind you like.  I normally use rotini, but I decided to use bowties instead.
  3. Put cooked noodles in a casserole dish.

  4. Mix in cream of mushroom soup, tuna and peas.  You can also add some shredded cheese, I do.

  5. Put in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
  6. After 15-20 minutes remove from over and add French’s French Fried Onions or crushed up Lay’s Potato Chips (Lay’s are what my Grandma originally used, I think I learned about French’s from my Mom) and lots of cheese.
  7. Then put back in the oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

Reading is one of my most favorite things to do.

What's a hobby of yours?

Day 19 - A Talent of Yours

I don't think I've discovered my talent yet.

Hubs said today "talent is something that you're born with not something you learn."  So he says my talent is the fact that I'm double jointed.

This was a really tough one for me.  It made me realize that I don't have a talent.  I need to work on discovering what it is.

What's a talent of yours?

Day 18 - My Wedding

Hubs and I got married in La Jolla, CA on April 7, 2009.

We only had imediate family there.

My mom, dad, brother and sister in law. His mom, dad and sister.
As well as the maid of honor and best man.

We technically eloped, but we still treated it like a regular ceremony.  Hubs and I didn't see eachother until I walked down the "aisle".

Our ceremony was quick and afterwards the marriage license was signed and we took some family photos and then photos with just the two of us.

After all the photos we went to a restaurant near our hotel called The Spot. It was great and simple. Exactly what I wanted.

Day 17 - An Art Piece

Starry Night by Van Gogh

Day 16 - A Song That Makes You Cry (or Nearly)

This song was played at my grandparents funeral.  It makes me think of them.

Day 15 - Your Dream House

House Front:
I love the porch and it looks like there's some land to it.

Living Room:
Add family pictures, and a plushier couch.

Master Bedroom:

Kitchen:

Master Bathroom:
With a bear claw tub and a stand up shower.

Closet:
I love all the organization!

Laundry Room:
Different washer and dryer, but close!

I'd love to have 3-4 rooms; master, two kids rooms, and an extra for Hubs and my extra stuff.  2-3 bathrooms; master bath, one for the kids and one for guests.  Two car garage.  Huge backyard.  I want to live on some land.  I'm sure there's more, but these are the basics.  I hope to get them all one day. :)

Day 14 - A Non-fictional Book

Find it on Amazon.

Such an awful thing to happen.  But his writing almost makes you feel like you're there with him through the whole thing.  Reading this books just made me wish I could hold him and tell him everything was going to be alright.

No child should be treated this way.

Day 13 - A Fictional Book

Find it on Amazon.

I recently wrote about this book here.

Day 12 - Something You Are OCD About

Can I have this laundry room, please? LOVE IT!

Laundry.  I'm picky about how it's folded.  No one else can seem to do it right.

At least to me, anyways. :)

What's something you're OCD about?
