Stuck

Lately I've been feeling stuck.

Stuck in our living situation. I love living with my parents (most of the time), but we have definitely lost some privacy. I also think we have lost some of our independence.

Stuck in this body that I hate. I want to lose weight and better myself for Andrew but its hard. I have zero self control. Again, this goes back to the living situation. I want to try the Paleo lifestyle but to do that I want to rid every cabinet and shelf of our fridge of everything that could set me back on that. But I can't do that. It's not just my food.

Stuck at my job. I'm good at my job. Great even. It does give me a break from having to be a mommy 24/7. But I feel so stuck at it. I'm ready to be done. I've been there 7 years. I'm ready to move on from them. I'm ready to be home with Andrew. I need to be there for him. I want to be there for him.

I want to be around my blog more. But unfortunately I just don't have the time. I'm going to try from the app on my iPhone more since I tend to have my phone with me at all times.

How's everyone in the blogosphere been?

4 & 5 Months

Dear Andrew:

Mommy is a slacker so I'm combining your 4 and 5 month update. I rarely get on the computer when I'm home since I'm usually spending all my time with you.

The past two months have passed by so quickly. Soon you'll be 6 months old; that's half a year! Where did that time go?

In your 4th month you found your feet!  Once you found them you wouldn't let them go.  It was the cutest thing!

Grabbing your feet for Mom - February 19, 2013
You are so close to laughing and rolling over, but you didn't quite achieve those this month!

You went with Adam, Cassidy, Daddy and Mommy to the Roller Derby.  You seemed to enjoy it.  You love watching people and sports so this was great for you!  It was loud, but you didn't seem to mind that one bit.

Grandma feeding you with your Sippie - January 27, 2013
You still love eating and you're always fantastic at sleeping.

Weight: 19 pounds 8 ounces / Length: around 27 inches
In your 5th month you successfully rolled over both ways!  You still aren't a fan of being on your tummy, but you first rolled from your belly to your back.  You were so proud of yourself when you rolled over, looked up at me and saw that I was smiling and cheering you on!  A few days later you rolled from your back to your belly.  You immediately became a pro at that.

You started blowing raspberries. It's so cute!  But shortly you moved onto something else.  You also reached for Mommy for the first time!  You were hanging out with Grandpa while Mommy showered.  When I was done I walked over to you and you immediately reached out for me.  That was by far one of my favorite moments of your life thus far!

On our way to the Renaissance Festival - March 10, 2013
This month you went with Daddy and Mommy to the Renaissance Festival.  You weren't really interested in anything since you are still so young.  You still aren't a fan of your stroller, so Mommy wore you in the Ergo most of the day.  When we went to watch jousting you started crying because the cheering was loud and you were tired, so we decided it was time to take you home.

Then later that month you went with Adam, Cassidy, Daddy and Mommy to the The Great American BBQ and Beer Festival.  Again, Mommy wore you most of the time until we found a nice shady place to hang out all day.

Asleep on Mommy at the BBQ Festival - March 23, 2013
Sadly, a few days after the festival you got sick for the second time (first was when you were just a few weeks old), but this time it was worse.  You had a horrible cough and stuffy nose.  You were a wreck.  Mommy even had to stay home with you two days because you only wanted me.

Weight: 20 pounds 1.6 ounces / Length: 27.5 inches
You've had a busy two month, little boy.  I imagine they'll just keep getting busier as time passes.  You're getting close to being officially mobile!

Love you, forever and always,

Mama

3 Months

Dear Andrew,

You're huge!  And perfect.  Even the pediatrician told us that.  He also told us you are literally off the charts for your height and weight and your head is in the 90th percentile.

You haven't started laughing yet but you've reached a new octave with your voice.  You now enjoy squealing.  It's hilarious.  But I seriously cannot wait to hear you start giggling!

Unfortunately I had to go back to work this month and that was quite an adjustment for everyone.  I miss you like crazy, but you and your daddy get to hang out while I'm away.

You decided you didn't want to take a bottle.  Which wasn't so good since you need to eat while I'm at work.  Instead you liked a sippy cup.  Whatever works, silly child! :)

Let's see what the next month brings!

Love you, forever and always,

Mama
