I just wanted to apologize about the lack of blogging. I really haven't had much to talk about this week. I didn't go to work on Monday, so I had a four day work week. Rob didn't go in either on Monday, so that was nice to be able to hang out with him. AF had made me quite a psycho this week, so I'm super glad she's gone.
I can't believe it's already Sunday. I don't feel like I've done anything this weekend. I don't have motivation to do anything. The only thing we've done today is do a trade for Rob at Circle K, and I got a newspaper so I could get the Sunday coupons and then we went to the grocery store. We've been watching The Shield all day, which we haven't done in awhile. I've missed it. But now the show is driving me crazy because I don't like the story line.
I haven't had a chance to read all weekend, which makes me sad. So I'm going to do that now. I just wanted to post a quick update so show that I hadn't forgotten about my blog. :)
Me: Do you still feel the same way you felt about me two years ago?
Him: No.
Him: I'm more in love with you each day that passes.

I don't mean to be updating my blog one room at a time, but then again it kinds of works out best that way. That way there isn't just one massive entry then I have nothing to write about for a few weeks. HA!
I just had to share my new and improved closet!

I am absolutely in love with my new "kitchen island". It's not really an island, but I don't know what else to call it. My new kitchen cabinet? Anyways, it's amazing! It's huge, right now inside it I have a veggie steamer, a very large pot, skillet, and a crock pot. And I still have so much room left for other stuff! I need to put my George Foreman Grill in there, but first I must clean it. And on top I have my Kitchen Aid (that I could finally bring out of the garage!), toaster and coffee pot. And there's still a bunch of space!
My wonderful mother came over today and helped me clean house. It was so sweet of her since she really didn't need to. I don't know what I would have done without her today. She kind of just took charge, which I didn't mind at all. She swept up all the animal fur balls all over the house, helped me move a bunch of furniture and a bunch of other random thing. But all in all, my house looks amazing right now! The only thing I really have left to do is mop the kitchen. The floor looks awful, but that will change tomorrow.
I also hung some pictures up around the house, none in the living room yet. I'm waiting until we find out what our seating arangement is going to be before I start hanging some stuff up. I'm very tired now. I worked my butt of today! And Rob's still not home so, I'm starting to feel a little lonely. :( I'm going to watch some HGTV. I'm definitely going to post more tomorrow.

On Monday night Rob and I went down to Showcase Honda. Rob had been talking to them for awhile on Sunday and almost all day Monday. He was going back and forth on different cars trying to find the best trade in value for our car (2008 VW Passat). There were so many different cars that we looked through. Honda Pilot, Jeep Commander, Nissan Armada and Pathfinder, Chevy Tahoe, and finally Land Rover LR3. Any idea which one we picked? Land Rover LR3. That would be the correct answer. (Rob looks silly in this picture. I'll definitely take a better one this weekend. I just rushed and took this this morning before work.)
We originally went down to the dealership to look at the Jeep Commander, but when we got there Honda didn't even have it in their lot. It was moved down to the Nissan lot. So the guy that Rob had been talking to, Victor, gave us the keys to a Nissan Armada that we could take a look at while they were having their buyer take a look at our car. I loved the Nissan Armada, the inside was amazing and a half. It was spacious, it had a bunch of compartments, it had cloth seating and a third row of seating. The only issue was it was just a little too big! It almost felt like a tank when you drove it, but I almost liked that about the car. I eventually got to drive the Armada down to the Nissan lot with Rob and Victor to look at the Jeep Commander that was on STILTS. How are we supposed to see the car when it's on stilts? Needless to say, we didn't even get to take a look at it.
Rob drove back to the Honda lot to take a look at our other options. Some guy, a manager I think, came over to us when we got back to the lot and asked us if we had taken a look at their LR3, now I had never heard of LR3 so I was completely confused at first. Then we walked over and saw them. Rob immediately fell in love with it. We looked inside and all around the car, then Rob decided to take it for a test drive. We just went around the block, but that was enough for Rob to fall even more in love with the car. I still wasn't sold though. I didn't like that it has leather seats, and it was just awkward to me.
So we went back inside the dealership, the guys were trying to sell us the car. Rob kept telling them that we wouldn't be making a sale today because we had an appointment with another dealership the next day. They were still trying to push the car on me. I finally told them that we could go outside and take another look at the car. They ended up practically pushing me in the car and telling me to take it for a test drive. So we went around the block again. It drives really nice.
There was this other salesman there named Sam, apparently he is obsessed with Land Rover's. So he went through everything on the car, explained why it was made the way it was and showed us a lot of the safety features on the car. He finally told us that we need to go on one last test drive, one to show us how fun the car is. So he took us to a parking lot that was all messed up just to show us how nice it was. We found this dirt lot that he let us drive in for a little bit. Needless to say, Rob wanted the car tonight.
When we got back to the dealership we went inside to talk numbers. We finally got down to a spot that we both agreed, so we decided to take the car. They even gave us a surprising amount of money for our car, way more than it's worth. We signed all the documents and got GAP coverage on the car, but not a warranty. The warranty the car payment back up to what we were paying now. We didn't get home until 11:30, we were both extremely tired, but very happy. We now have a pretty new SUV that should serve it's purpose for the next forever.
Last night was the season premier of The Biggest Loser - Season 8. Every season this show just gets to me. I always cry! I'm a bit of a cry-er already, but when you add all the sad stories to the mix it just makes it even worse. This season there is a lady that lost her husband, 5 year old daughter and 2 week old son in a car accident. How could that not make you cry?! There is also this other lady that is the heaviest person to ever be on the show. She weighs in at 476 pounds. I just don't understand how someone can get that large. I feel bad, but it's their fault.
This show always makes me want to get out and do something. I think Rob and I have finally turned over a new leaf. We want to start making healthy decisions. We also want to start being more responsible for our actions. It's finally time for us to grow up. Not all the way, but enough. :) I really hope we stick to our word. I want to be happy, healthy and financially stable.

I don't know why but people seem to like to give me nice hardback journals as presents. I don't use them, right now they're just sitting on a bookshelf. The other day I decided what I was going to do with them -- I want to use them as Pregnancy Journals. I think it would be fun to document what's happening during pregnancy, I could show my kids when they got older. They might not care, but I think it would be fun to document that stuff in (hand)writing, on actual paper. Rather then just using the internet. The journal is something I can carry around with me and write in it when I get the urge. I'm also thinking of documenting the journey BEFORE, as well. It might be a good place to get out my true feelings.
I'm not sure when this is going to happen, but I've at least made a decision about what I'm actually going to use them for. They're really pretty, and I've felt bad that they've just been sitting around. When I went to take a picture of them, I had fewer journarls then I though. The top three are ones that I'll actually write in. The blue on with a K on it is more of a notepad, the pages tear out easily. I'm going to tell my mom that if she finds anymore hardback journals that she thinks I might like, then to pick them up for me. I'm going to start a collection! I've had a lot of journals over the years, I kind of wish I would have kept all of them. Sad! (In the top picture though, you can see the dragonflies a little better.)

The journal is so cute! It's the mint colored book at the bottom. It got dragonflies engraved on it. I tried to take a close up, but it didn't work. Not pictured: hair clips & ties and lip gloss.
Well yesterday was my birthday. It might have been the best so far. Rob got me those gorgeous flowers! (First time he has ever bought me flowers.) But the card wasn't included. They told him it got wet so they didn't give it to me.. which I think is crap! I really wanted that card. I'm over it now, but yesterday I was super upset about it because when I first go the flowers I had NO idea who they were from. Good thing my mom knew!
Crystal, a lady at my work, took me out to lunch and my mom and Valissa came along with us. Lunch was pretty good. I had a bacon cheeseburger. Oh how I love my hamburgers.
